On February 24th at 5:00 Kyiv time, we woke up to the sound of airstrikes and missiles raining down on our hometown, Sumy. This is when we knew that president Biden’s promised war is here. In our country.
Military bases, airfields, border posts, and cities across Ukraine are getting bombarded by Russian forces. Our city Sumy is located in the northeastern part of Ukraine, 125 miles from the Russian border. We started seeing Russian armor patrolling in our streets from day one.
As we’re writing this, blazing fires are tearing through our city and the gunfire is echoing in the background. But we’re here. We’re alive. We’re fighting for our city and our country. We’re doing whatever we can to help our army and our people whether it’s finding the nearest bomb shelter or paying salaries to our employees.
As crazy as it sounds in the current situation, we continue doing our job – building great software products for our clients from all over the world.

- Don’t be silent and “just watch.” Ukraine is in real trouble. Your compassion will warm our hearts, but it will not save us. You need to inform your communities that there is a real catastrophe happening in Europe that the whole world needs to know about. - Help ordinary Ukrainian citizens. At present, hundreds of thousands of people –– women, children, and the elderly –– are heading towards the EU to escape the war in Ukraine. They’re asking for shelter. Don’t stand aside. Ukrainians are friendly, peaceful, and kind people. We respect others and are grateful for all the help that we get. We are not beggars, but our situation forces us to ask for help. Don’t turn away.
